The Story Behind 77 Landall Lane

Every once in a while, a project comes along that feels different. Not just another build. Not just another address. Something more intentional. More personal. More… complete.

77 Landall Lane is one of those projects.

⸻

Where It Started

This story didn’t begin with a set of plans or even a vision for a house. It started with a piece of property… and a decision. What was once a single parcel with an existing home has slowly, thoughtfully transformed into something entirely new—three buildable lots, a private road, and a blank canvas for what’s next. That private road carries a name that means something to me: Landall Lane—a combination of my two sons’ names, Landon and Allister. There’s something special about creating something that lasts. Even more so when it carries a piece of your family with it. And somehow, out of all of this, the address 77 Landall Lane found its way to the front of the project.

Born in 1977, I’ve always had a connection to that number. Two sevens. Simple. Strong. Complete. It felt fitting that this would be the home to bring the entire vision together.

The Vision

From the beginning, this home was designed with a clear direction: Mid-century modern. Done right. Not forced. Not trendy.

But clean, intentional, and timeless.

• Wide-open living spaces

• Sloping ceiling lines that draw your eye upward

• Expansive windows—including floor-to-ceiling glass—to bring the outside in • Thoughtful architectural details that make the space feel different the moment you walk in

This isn’t a home you just walk through. It’s one you feel. Natural light. Clean lines. Space to breathe.

Designed for Living (and Living Well)

What makes this home unique is how versatile it is. On the main floor alone, you’ll find over 2,000 square feet of living space designed for simplicity and comfort:

• A main-floor primary suite

• Main-floor laundry

• An additional bedroom that can flex as an office, guest space, or family room

For some, that means true main-floor living—perfect for a couple looking to simplify without sacrificing style. For others, it creates the ideal setup for a growing family, with the flexibility to evolve over time. And then there’s the lower level.

A walkout basement with large glass patio doors opens up a completely different experience: • A wet bar built for entertaining

• Two additional bedrooms

• Space for a home gym, media room, or whatever fits your lifestyle

This is a home designed not just for day-to-day living—but for hosting, gathering, and enjoying.

The Details Matter

We’ve been intentional about every layer of this home. From the architectural flow to the finishing touches, everything is being selected to stay true to the mid-century modern style—including high-end Herman Miller lighting that complements the overall design. Because it’s not just about building a house. It’s about creating a feeling that carries through every space.

Location Changes Everything

And then there’s Ada, Michigan. If you know Ada, you already understand.

If you don’t—this is one of the most desirable areas in West Michigan for a reason. • A revitalized downtown

• High-end restaurants and retail

• Clean, walkable spaces

• A community that continues to invest in itself

To have a home like this, just minutes from the heart of Ada, makes the opportunity even more unique.

More Than Just a Build

I won’t go deep into the full backstory—but I will say this: Projects like this don’t happen overnight. They’re built on years of experience, lessons learned, risks taken, and a constant drive to keep improving the process. From buying my first property at 17… to designing and building custom homes today…

This project feels like a reflection of that entire journey—just expressed through one home.

What Comes Next

We’re just getting started. Framing will begin soon, and over the coming months, this vision will start taking shape—step by step, detail by detail. I’ll be sharing more along the way. For now, this is the introduction.
